Property and Casualty:
Mississippi Insurance Department regulations require forty hours of education to issue a property and casualty insurance license. The Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi (IIAM) Agents License Review (ALR) consists of sixteen hours of self-study completed before attending class* and twenty-four hours of classroom instruction. This review meets the Insurance Department's training requirements and prepares students for the license exam in a state-of-the-art educational facility with excellent instructors.
*Because of the self-study requirement, manuals must be picked up or mailed by the Friday prior to the beginning of class. To receive credit for self-study, students must pass a 60-question pre-test consisting of basic questions from the manual. The pre-test will be administered at 8:00 a.m. on the first day of class.
Study Materials:
Before attending the class, students should thoroughly review the Kaplan Financial Property & Casualty Insurance manual and law supplement on which the review and examination are based. ALR students are required to have this material during the course. The cost of the manual and law supplement is $70. If ordered by mail, $10 is added for shipping and handling.
Exam Information: The exam is administered by Pearson VUE - https://wsr.pearsonvue.com/ms/insurance/
